CENTENARY GOLF DAY - MESSAGE FROM RICHARD MEMMOTT

As you know the club is celebrating its centenary this season and we are commemorating it with various events, one of which will be a golf day at Wildernesse Golf Club (described as probably the best inland course in the county). This will comprise a morning round of golf, preceded by coffee and bacon rolls and followed by an excellent lunch and prize-giving. There will be nearly one hundred people from all over Kent and Surrey involved as we have invited clubs, with which we have strong affiliations on and off the field, to take part and they have all, without exception, accepted. Naturally our own club members will also be taking part.

The format will be a stableford competition in teams of four with the best three scores on each hole to count. Additionally there will be a competition for the best individual scores on the day plus prizes for longest, straightest drives and nearest the pin. We are also offering a car for a hole in one on the 13th hole, courtesy of BMW Cooper, Sevenoaks. The cost of the day is £67 per head.

Captains have been advised and have been asked to enter teams so, if you want to take part, please get your name down as we are sure this will be a very popular event".
