A very competitive game at Polo Farm. Old Oaks were under pressure from the start with Canterbury's Jamie Laslett pretty much controlling the game. However Old Oaks looked dangerous on the break and Clive Bick scored from a well worked short corner routine. Old Oaks continued to be under the cosh and Canterbury duly went into half time leading 2-1.

A change to a 4 4 2 formation significantly improved Old Oaks fortunes and Peter Jakob and Nigel Tozzi combined brilliantly to level the scores. Another well worked short corner was converted by Steve Stowell but that was the turning point of an exciting game and Canterbury scored two more goals and on balance deserved their victory.
